Nature park Vransko lake

Vransko lake is the largest natural lake in Croatia, located near Pakoštane. Vransko lake is a cryptodepression in karst since the lake surface is 2 meters above the sea level, while the bottom of the lake is 4 meters below the sea level. The lake is connected with the sea by the underground channels so the water in the lake is slightly salted. In 1999, Vransko lake and its surroundings have been declared a nature park. Nature park Vransko lake covers an area of 57 km2 and, in 2013, it was included on the list of protected wetlands by the Ramsar convention. The lake is about 14 km long and 1.4 to 3.4 km wide.

ŠIBENIK

A coastal city that has endured nearly a millennium of scorching temperatures, sustaining a few wars, being beaten by the waves and whipped by relentless winds, Šibenik remains as vibrant as ever. How did it survive? As the third-largest city in Dalmatia, Šibenik makes a strongly recommended destination on this spectacular stretch of Adriatic coastline. This city is filled with incredible historical sites, beautiful seaside hang-outs, and quaint alleys and squares—just what you may expect from a medieval coastal city in Croatia.

BIOGRAD NA MORU

Biograd na Moru, city and port in northern Dalmatia, is situated 28 km south of Zadar .Thanks to its position on the most indented part of the Adriatic coast, this region offers excellent possibilities for nautical tourism and sailing as few places on the Mediterranean do. Three national parks are located in its proximity: Paklenica, Kornati archipelago and Krka Falls, and there are also nature parks such as Telaščica and Lake Vrana..

Besides its cultural and historical heritage, Biograd is also known for its lovely beaches, picturesque coves and various accommodation possibilities.

MURTER

Murter Island is located in the northern part of the Sibenik archipelago and is one of the most popular vacation islands in Croatia. This islet delights visitors with uniquely beautiful beaches to relax on, romantic landscapes as well as a variety of charming resorts with magnificent old towns. In addition, Murter is an excellent starting point for boat trips and excursions to the offshore island world. The mainland is also not far away and only separated by a small bridge. The Slanica Beach is the main beach of Murter and on top of that a landmark of the popular vacation island. This breathtakingly beautiful, very shallowly sloping sandy beach is especially popular with families with children!

ZADAR

Cosmopolitan and artsy, the coastal city of Zadar is the biggest metropolis in northern Dalmatia but still flies under the general tourist radar. Our advice? Get here before the tourist crowds find out about it, as this city is filled with a wealth of things to do.

Zadar is also an art destination of sorts, and is well known for two of Europe's most unique art installations: the Sea Organ and the Sun Salutation. These not-to-be-missed sound-and-light extravaganzas bring new meaning to the concept of hands on (or rather, "feet on") immersive art.

Given its coastal location, Zadar also boasts a number of beautiful beaches that are within easy reach of the downtown attractions. Here, the water is clear and warm and perfect for summertime swims.
